Sheet Harbour Rally

A group will be going to the Sheet Harbour Rally on Sept 30. Leaving the Porters Lake Mall parking lot across from Tim Hortons at 7:30 sharp. Anyone interested in going along is welcome to join in - in fact, I'd encourage it! For more information please see the poster on the ATVANS website here:

September General Meeting

Well it's that time of year again, time to get geared up for another trails season! There will be a General Meeting on Sept 26 at the Seaforth Hall beginning at 7:30 pm. We have Hats, Maps (pre-order only) updates on this summer's happenings and information on upcoming events.

Blueberry Run Trail work

The Marine Riders Trail Association have started a major reinstatement project to bring the facility at its expected standards as set by the Department of Natural Resources and Renewals (DNRR). The final facility width will be 3m-3.5m to safely accommodate a wide range of users: active transportation and OHV, as per their current user permissions from the DNRR.

We are pleased to announce that our next ACAMUTS fun run will take place on Sunday, August 20.

The run will commence at 10 AM and participants should park at the intersection where the Morse Road, heading south from Hwy 201 outside Bridgetown, meets the Neeves Road. The club will have signage up indicating where to park your vehicle.

Tender for Tree Clearing

The Marine Riders Trails Association is offering local contractors the opportunity to bid on a Tender to remove vegetation from the Blueberry Run Trail between Rutter Court in Seaforth and Highway 207 in Porters Lake.  Offers will be considered until 1700 Hrs July 7, 2023. Puma

Puma ATV Club is holding a Rally on the 13th. Their first in 10 years. It's 1 hour and 10 mins from Porters Lake,registration is from 9 -11. Anyone thinking of going can meet at the mall parking lot to leave there at 8:00. More info here:

Woodlot Operations

There is an active woodlot approximately 1 Km up the #506 - Geogrid trail. Signs have been posted at the entrance to the Geogrid trail, at the entrance to the woodlot road, and on the other side of that road to advise riders and ask that they reduce speed to avoid damaging the road surface.

Shearwater Flyer Trail LOA Update

The Marine Riders Trails Association has been awarded the LOA for the Shearwater Flyer Trail effective March 8, 2023 ! Now the work can begin in earnest to maintain this important Multi-Use motorized section of the Trans Canada Trail. 

A meeting is scheduled for March 19, 7:00pm at the Buffalo Club for all Cow Bay, Eastern Passage, Cole Harbour and area community members interested in helping us maintain this section of trail.

2023 Annual General Meeting
