We had a great turn out fot the Marine Riders Gator Pit Meat and Greet BBQ. We sold out of burgers and almost sold out of hotdogs. A huge thank to Graham for pulling this together and manning the BBQ.
We hope to do more of these type of events in the future!

Finally a HUGE shout out the the Porters Lake Super Store for giving us an awesome deal on the burgers and Hot Dogs!
On Saturday April 8th 2017, from 11am to 1pm the Marine Riders will be holding a bonfire and barbecue at the Gator Pit, by Cousin’s Lake (HX-23 on the Marine Riders trail map).
The barbecue will consist of a choice of 2 hotdogs or 1 hamburger and a pop for $5.
This event is open to members and non-members, all are welcome, so get the word out!
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO FUNDING FOR GATOR PIT BRIDGE REPAIR!
Our next monthly meeting will be held on March 28th at 7:30pm at the Lake & Shore Community Rec Centre. For those who do not know where this is, it is in the School off the Porter Connector near the #107 hwy in Porters lake, 20 minute drive from Dartmouth on the #107. All welcome. Membership does have its benefits!

As many of you know already, Richard Ward will not be re-offering as President of the Marine Riders due to personal reasons. Over the past couple of years Richard has gone above and beyond in his roll as President of the Marine Riders with such things as acquiring updated LOAs for our main trails in the Porters Lake area and a lot of the ground work that has been required to get the approval for the bridges that we need to get our trail system usable again.

We will be having a work party this Sunday, January 15 to address some of the requirements for our Blueberry Run LOA. Cleaning up the trail, repairing signage, etc. Meet at Petain Station at 10:00, bring a lunch and whatever basic hand-held tools that you can.
Rally at Hubbards Saturday, the 14th of Jan 2017
Who is going to the Hubbards Rally this Saturday?
We will be departing from the Porters Lake Parking Lot Saturday Morning at 7:30am (14th of January 2017)
We will head to the Forest Hills Parkway.
We will depart at 8:00am from the Forest Hills Parkway and head over to Hubbards.
Our first Club for 2017 meeting will be held on the 31st of January at the Lake and Shore Center in the Porters Lake Elementary School at 7:30pm.
We will be leaving the parking lot at Porters Lake at 07:30 Saturday the 7th of Jan. traveling to the Forest Hills Parkway. We will leave Foresst Hills Parkway at 08:00 and head on out to the dam/water towers on the 103.
Weather looks goodish so should be a good run. We're looking at 90+/- kms so if your machine is thirsty, bring some buggy juice!!
